Guess trains are popular. Sort of representing at the same time, the evils of man invading Natural Nature and the evils of pollution and emissions. But the animals in this video have this forlorn depressed look and are suicidal? Oh, we caused that somehow? Really? What universe are these jerks in, anyway?

InterviewedCharlie Rose’s PBS show, CNN founder Ted Turner argued that inaction on global warming “will be catastrophic” and those who don’t die “will be cannibals.”
On not taking drastic action to correct global warming:
Not doing it will be catastrophic. We’ll be eight degrees hotter in ten, not ten but 30 or 40 years and basically none of the crops will grow. Most of the people will have died and the rest of us will be cannibals.
Man, it’s got all the cool apocalypse stuff. It’s all right around the corner if you listen to Al. Dead land, burned out cities, huge floods. New York and Florida flat sinking into the ocean. Gee, cities with so much smog they could be on fire. Hey, don’t forgot the cute little Polar Bears.

This gem was posted on Youtube under the title “Best Climate Change Ad Ever”. Of course you just have to be moved to tears of guilt by the nice little puppies drowning and rabbits crying before they are all drowned in a huge flood that’s somehow attributed to man. Somehow it’s caused by CO2, right? Yeah….sure…
Propaganda Method:
The girl starts out expecting a nice bedtime story to be read to her by her dad, but as he turns the pages of the book her smile turns to a frown of concern. Puppies are drowning and rabbits are crying.

Attribution: of cause is implicit, as the ad ends with a shoutout to control CO2.
Analysis: Since adults mostly would be watching these ads, it follows that the Guilt Load is laid on the parents with the general message being “You are helping ruin the world for your own children. Shouldn’t you be ashamed of yourself?”

She walks to a play set that suddenly appears, then like all the earth starts cracking sort of like when those Martian machines wound there way out in the War of the Worlds – then a giant hurricane heads for her and she runs and runs – but she’s caught by the ragin flood and hangs on a tree limb and screams – and screams – and screams -

A yuppie steps out of the way of the train, saying that if it takes 30 years, it won’t affect him. Then the little girl is revealed who gets hit by the train.
DECONSTRUCTION: By your actions you should feel guilt. You are killing the children with your freight train of carbon emissions. Like the guy in the video you don’t care (knee jerk response, Guilt TIME!). Your actions of today kill the children tomorrow.
You are a gullible sap if you fall for this knee jerk nonsense. Of course we can thank Greenpeace for pulling this one out of the hat. Just feast your eyeballs on what “donations” to Greenpeace go for? Yep, this is a Hall of Warmer Idiocracy Fame winner in the Commercial category.
Greenpeace Global Warming Ad
Baby is left in tub, mother walks away leaving baby to drown. Okay, that’s a charge of negligent homicide around here. Now wait, Greenpeace is implying that that mom is actually you and I. So they are saying we are killing babies, unless we do as they suggest we should do.
ANALYSIS OF PROPAGANDA METHOD: With the assumptions that viewers have already been preconditioned to:
believe that the sea levels will rise due to global warming
that man’s carbon emissions are the cause of global warming
that the planet is warming, or that climate change exists, (whatever the current version of this statement is – hard to keep track isn’t it?)
This nasty little propaganda item attempts to induce fear and guilt by illustrating the baby drowning while the adult walks away.
The way this scam works, directors of companies alleged to be “damaging the environment” such as the directors of fossil fuel companies could be prosecuted. Smells like a Jesse Jackson style shakedown, which could be used to intimidate the entire world population as well as conveniently prosecute “Climate Deniers”.

Duh….Hey look, this is seriously stupid. See…if it was hot, you couldn’t pay those girls to wear 322 layers of clothes. So it’s not hot. So what’s the point of this? Like, these girls doing this act wouldn’t make even one buck working the strip joint – they’d be jeered off the stage.

Okay, let’s try a bit harder. The Warmer thinks we are already fooled into the guilt trip so we feel guilty about that big house that we have now. So he thinks this will convince us that we need to start shrinking our use of precious natural resources so that we’ve adjusted to the day when there aren’t many left?
This guy’s somehow managed to get 3M hits on this Youtube video, so it must be worth citing. It’s terrifying indeed to think of 3,000,000 schmucks wasting their time watching this guy. Of course, he says it’s 7.5M hits. Guess he doesn’t read the youtube counter. So he sticks his mug right in front of the camera and starts his little talk before going to his whiteboard. A or B, True or False. That’s the world according to this Warmster. Next he blithely glosses over all squares except the one that he wants to load up with all the terrible things he can think of. Now he really gets going on that one – “This is a world that makes Al Gore look like a sissy with no guts”.
